Minimal Ethical Governance (MEG) is the successor to the former Minimum Ethics Code (MEC). This directory preserves superseded MEC and MEG materials for historical, comparative, and reproducibility purposes. The documents record the evolution from the former Minimum Ethics Code / Minimal Ethical Code terminology to Minimal Ethical Governance, including early specifications, case studies, experimental MEG Address certificates, challenge prompts, audit demonstrations, and implementation roadmaps. The documents also preserve historical naming variations, including “Minimum Ethics Code” and “Minimal Ethical Code”. These materials are not current normative references. Some certificates, identifiers, signatures, URLs, audit records, and institutional entities contained in the archived demonstrations were illustrative or experimental and must not be interpreted as currently valid credentials or operational infrastructure. The current normative framework consists of MEG1 (MEG v5.0) and MEG2, together with their current executive summary, core synthesis, case studies, and theoretical foundations. --- PUBLIC RECORDS --- 9 July 2026 — Current MEG framework (MEG1 + MEG2) Theoretical Foundations of MEG: From Information Gravity to Cognitive Governance https://zenodo.org/records/21283656 Minimal Ethical Governance: Executive Summary and Overview https://zenodo.org/records/21280688 MEG1: A Technical Standard for Verifiable AI https://zenodo.org/records/21280680 MEG2: Legal Governance for AI https://zenodo.org/records/21280676 --- VERSION HISTORY 25 August 2025 — MEC v4.3 The Minimum Ethics Code (MEC) v4.3: A Universal Technical Standard for Trustworthy AI https://zenodo.org/records/16938364 28 August 2025 — MEC Evidence Compendium The Evidence for the Minimum Ethics Code (MEC): A Compendium of Case Studies and Operational Demonstrations https://zenodo.org/records/16972987 4 September 2025 — MEG v4.5 Minimal Ethical Governance MEG (Successor to MEC — Minimum Ethical Code) https://zenodo.org/records/17055906 22 September 2025 — MEG paper Minimal Ethical Governance (MEG) for Artificial Intelligence https://ssrn.com/abstract=5440994
